So here is the thing about the photographer community in our area. It quite simply is amazing. Most of us know each other, support each other, bounce ideas off each other, refer clients to one another if we are booked. We don’t really see each other as competition, we see each other as colleagues, even though we all run our own businesses.
So when Stephanie of Baby Snap Photography and I said we were in a bit of a photography non-creative slump when it came to maternity portraits, Marta of Marta Locklear Photography said she would take us to a maternity session, where she would style the clients and go into one of her fields (Marta is known for her field sessions), we just needed to find the clients. We agreed! So Steph and I sent a call out on our facebook groups and we had a flood of expecting moms reply back! We finally selected two ladies, Angela and Danielle… since we specifically wanted long, darker hair.
So off to Fredricksburg I went, cursing the 95 traffic on the way as is customary. Marta styled the ladies… it was a nice learning experience to see the time and effort she likes to put into getting a certain look at a shoot. Then into the fields we went!
