There is so much talk about ‘Leaning In’ with the release of the book by Sheryl Sandberg called ‘Lean In : Women, Work and the Will to Lead’. I find it all very fascinating. I have two daughters and I want them to reach for the stars, dream big and work hard to make those dreams come true. Even if that dream, like mine, was to have a family and raise children and be there for them in their younger years. I don’t feel less than other women because I quit the work force do this mothering work instead. I also feel so glad that so many women did go back to work after having children, because my daughters could look up to them and see all the things they could become when they were older, especially my own sister and cousins. Whether you lean in, or lean out or just simply take a nap (ha!), there is no one right answer. It takes a village to raise our children. At the end of the day we are all doing the best we can, and that is enough..
